The Seekers Centre Chronic Pain clinic is for people suffering after a workplace accident, sports injury, illness or surgery, or with fibromyalgia or other painful disorders. Patients can usually expect to be seen within about 18-24 months. Our goals include reducing pain, decreasing prescription drug use, improving sleep and mood, and improving function.
Treatment may include medication management, trigger point injections, peripheral nerve blocks and intravenous infusions. We also emphasize goal-setting, physical activity, mindful posture and breathing techniques, and an anti-inflammatory diet. We help our patients learn to heal themselves, and we expect them to become active participants in their treatment.
The treatments provided in this clinic are insured by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). A referral from your family physician is required. Please refer to our referral process here.
